Static Sun Protection Film Silver Dark – Adhesive-Free for Interior Mounting

This sun protection film Silver Dark adheres entirely without adhesive: it uses static adhesion to cling to smooth glass surfaces – and can be removed residue-free and reapplied at any time. This makes it particularly attractive for rental properties, offices and seasonal use. The performance data is comparable to self-adhesive sun protection films: 80 % of solar energy is rejected, and the silver mirror effect provides daytime privacy.

Why Static Film?

Static films adhere through adhesion forces directly on the glass – entirely without adhesive. This brings decisive advantages over self-adhesive films:

Installation is carried out just like self-adhesive films using water (wet application) – the handling is identical, only the film adheres through adhesion instead of adhesive.

Suitable Glazing Types

This static film is designed for interior mounting on single glazing. The dark tint absorbs a lot of solar energy – with double glazing, heat can build up between the panes and lead to thermal stress.

Not suitable for double glazing, low-E glass, tinted glazing and skylights. Laminated glass only with restrictions – please contact us before installation.

Important: The film is not suitable for partial installation – it must cover the entire glass surface.

Installation

The film is applied from the inside onto the cleaned glass surface using water and the included mounting kit. Since there is no adhesive, the film can be easily shifted and repositioned during installation – an advantage over self-adhesive variants.

Warranty

10 years against discolouration or peeling when applied to vertical surfaces.
